The Wolf Under Three Moons
Ulfang the Werewolf & Ghost Boy
The respected werewolf ranger Ulfang has been driven mad by the appearance of new moons in the sky. He no longer has control of his transformations. To avoid harming innocents, he has exiled himself in the wasteland that he once patrolled.
Ghost Boy has asked you to help his old friend before he completley loses control. Will you enter the wastelands outside the Zone to help or will you become the hunted?
I've known Cubbie since he was a little wolf boy. When the broken moon was full, I'd meet him outside the walls of the Station.
We would howl at the moon together and play tag in the shadows. Cubbie would cheat by crossing the tracks of the Outer Ring where he knew I couldn't follow!
Now with three moons in the sky, Cubbie can't control himself anymore! Sometimes he's a mecha-wolf! Sometime's he's made of cubes! He hurts people but he can't help himself! He's hiding outside the Ring where I can't help him. Can you help him for me please?
The Hidden Moon Frenzy has caused the lycanthropes of Erathia to go mad. They are losing the hard-won control they have over their transformations. They are in danger of losing their status as accepted members of the Concordant civilization.
Worried for his friend, Ghost Boy has been looking for anyone to enter the Kirinal Wastes to find his friend, the once-respected lycan ranger Ulfang. He cannot leave the confines of the Zone to seek his friend. He will tell you secrets from "Cubbie's" childhood that might help you calm him down when you find him.
Here's an adventure idea from my world that you could use in your own world with minor changes! I'm making these system agnostic with lots of room for tweaking.
Poor Ulfang :( That's so sad for him.

Thanks for the comment! As always, I'm always looking for ways to subvert the old tropes. Then go back to them for maximum effect!
