Cassandra
Several personnel from ‘The Cave’ were transfered to the captured cruiser, and they would follow the Legion back to the System System where the ship would be put to use by adding it into the Jom fleet, sold, or used for parts. On top of the contract and completion bonus, it was an extra bonus that one way or the other would be split between the members of the Legion, and the next of kin of those who had lost their life on the mission.
Cassandra had hoped that their regiment would have been selected for that duty. It would have been a nice change of pace for the four weeks of travel among the stars. The extra room on ‘The Cave’ would be nice though. The Holographic, entertainment, and game rooms would be less busy, or at least easier to book time with
Hartstone was busy as the third battalion and support staff from the legion left the world. For days shuttles had been busy transporting supplies and equipment back to ‘The Cave’. The locals of the world had been throwing parties and feasts for days to thank the legion and their own newly trained and tested local forces.
Cassandra had been able to find alone time with Edmund several times throughout the feasts. She took advantage of the chaos to enjoy herself, and wondering if they might find time on ‘The Cave’ with a full regiment gone. She doubted it though. Almost thirty five hundred was a minor number when compared to the almost fifty five thousand that served on ‘The Cave’ and the tenth legion.
Cassandra was among some of the last to leave the peaceful world of Hartstone. She would miss the minor world in some ways, and yet glad to be leaving.
