Garrison City is best known for the gumbo of cultures that make it the best place to eat in the Kirinal Concordance Zone. They import seafood from Talinside Bay and Cantreval, beef and mutton from the Red Plains, and produce from Arro. The native cooks and chefs combine this culinary bounty into a Garrison Cuisine unlike anything in the rest of the Zone. Bread made here is exported to the rich and powerful worldwide.

Triple Capital

The Garrison has the distinction of being the seat of government for the Sovranty of Lozar, the Concordance for Survival, and the Kirinal Council. The Garrison contains the last buildings standing from Old Kirinal. These remnants stood on the ourskirts of the beautiful city destroyed in the first Kirinal Catastrophe. The founders of those three governments claimed the symbolism of those structures for their capitals.

Guilds and Businesses

As the capital of the Zone, many Zone based businesses also keep offices, if not headquarters in the Garrison. All of the major Salvager guilds have offices and skyship hangars on the eastern edge of town, ready to fly into the Zone once the Quota has been called.

Military Garrisons

In keeping with its name, the Garrison is the home of the troops and their families stationed at the Fortress of Kirinal four miles to the east.

Kirinal Concordance Zone

The Kirinal Concordance Zone was created around the Kirinal Pit to act as a buffer zone to defend against interplanar invasions. The Pit is a 30-mile hole in reality that chaotically manifests a different world or plane at random times.

Eventually, the people of Erathia tamed the Pit, setting it on a schedule so that an ordered succession of planes would appear over the Days of the Week.
