Pilgrimage to Heaven
The Kirinal Concordance Zone is truly blessed to host a different Heaven on the seventh day of every week. Sophonts travel from across the multiverse to visit the scheduled Heaven of their choice. I am lucky enough to have visited each of the many heavens as they have Manifested here in the Zone. I find that the mechanical order of Arcadia best suits my own clockwork soul.
I'm not particularly fond of the Day of Heaven myself. It's too quiet for your ol' pal Sarge! But I do love when we get the Heaven of Battle! Unlimited fighting, feasting, and... well. You can ask me about the last one after the lecture!
In the multiverse, the Kirinal Concordance Zone is a unique crossroads of worlds. But one of its greatest draws is the weekly appearance of Heaven in the Kirinal Pit on the seventh day of every week.
A multitude of heavens appear on a schedule in the Pit and pilgrims schedule for years, even decades, in advance to visit the Zone and stay in one of the Embassy Cities when their preferred heaven will manifest in the Pit.
The Pilgrimage brings a huge influx of people that supports businesses throughout the Zone. On the day before Heaven, food and souvenir booths appear in each of the cities and on the roads approaching the Gates.
On the morning of Heaven, throngs of pilgrims gather at the gates as they wait for the Day of Elysium Heaven. They sing songs of worship and say their prayers in unison as sunlight blooms in the east. The symbol of the Orrery spins and Chagroth's Tower blooms with light as Elysium manifests in the Pit.
The hosts sing as the celestial forests rise with a scent of pine and rain and fertile soil. As the Kirinal Defenders open the gates, the crowds murmur with reverent excitement as they set foot in heaven, while they are still alive.
I can definitely see the appeal of visiting a heaven whilst I was still alive. At least then I would know what I'm striving for, you know? Imagine the upset it would cause if the wrong heaven manifested one day.
