Forged Moon
Since it rose into the sky a few years ago, the new Clockwork Moon has been inextricably tied to my people, the Soulforged. It became the base of operations of Malfador, teh God of Lies and his Infernal Army. Thankfully, Malfador was banished into the sun and the new god Praxis has taken his place. Now the Forged Moon shines as a symbol of hope and unity for all mechani-kin.
The soulforged and changeling have new moons all to themselves, but we orcs still share the old Shattered Moon with all of the other "old peoples." By my count, four of the Six Lost Moons still remain to be found! Maybe we orcs can have one to ourselves!
The Forged Moon is a radiant orb of ever-shifting golden gears and celestial machinery. When it was the Hidden Moon, the black and gold sphere moved unpredictably in the sky, sometimes hiding behind the Shattered Moon, sometimes becoming invisible. Now it has a steel and gold tint and follows an orderly path in the sky.
Trip to the Forged Moon
While the Forged Moon is now the divine domain of Praxis, it remains a dangerous destination. Infernal Forces loyal to the memory of Malfador still lurk within the moon's clockwork bowels. These remnants of his Infernal Army operate from hidden bases, striking at any who attempt to travel to the moon or explore it's celestial machinery.
Skyship Travel
Travel to the clockwork moon is fraught with peril. Skyships are the primary means of transport, but journeys are conducted under the protection of heavily armed escorts. The routes between the celestial bodies are patrolled by the Thayan Armada. Their warships ensure that trade and exploration in the skies above Erathis is as secure as possible. Despite these measures, reports of ambushes and disappearences persist.
The Clockwork Surface
The clockwork surface of the Forged Moon blends consists of nation sized gears combined together into continent-sized machinery. Ports and shafts descend down into the inner workings of the moon. Pilgrims report landscapes of steel and brass, great clockwork vistas stretching into the horizon. Praxis' new followers travel to the Forged Moon to convert it for the use of the new god's worshippers.
Malfador's Hidden Moon was a weapon designed to shatter the Crystal Sphere of Kirinal using the Kirinal Pit as a power source. The remnants of the God of Lies' engineering still remain on the moon along with the remainder of his forces.
