Fíaglasir's beautiful weapon Sléa Omra, the Dawnspear, was shattered into thousands of pieces when the Eternal King defeated him, and locked him in a prison of amber. The radiant runes that formed his mighty godweapon were scattered across the Feywild following this dreadful battle, and the Amber Elves have been collecting them ever since, preparing their lord's weapon for the day he will return and bring the dawn with him. While most of these shards are of little consequence, some are potent and can be wielded with great power by those who know how to channel them.
This is one such shard, which over millenia of service to the Amber Elves has become molded by its users to many different purposes.
When employed as a scourge against night the shard can empower a weapon with the dreadful power of dawn, burning away darkness with its amber radiance. The shard imprints itself on a chosen weapon as a patten of runes, creating a glow along its edge
When employed by those who seek to protect their companions, the shard can wrap a shield in a golden barrier, pushing back against those who would harm its wielder.
Some have chosen to keep the shard in its pure form as a rune of power captured in amber, empowering their magic with its radiance.
