Precision Shooting - hold the weapon with both hands to increase chance to hit, +7 to hit as an attack (must be held with both hands, no offhand)

High Powered Mode - Switch the fire mode as a Bonus Action to expend an extra laser charge per attack, dealing an additional 2d6 radiant damage. Will overheat if three consecutive attacks are made in this mode, rendering the weapon unable to fire for one round.

Flashbulb - Switch the fire mode to expend an extra charge, dealing an additional 1d6 radiant damage and possibly blind the target as an attack. The target must make a Constitution saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + Proficiency Bonus + Intelligence Modifier or be blinded until the start of your next turn.

  Loading: Fast Reload as a Bonus Action to restore half the magazine's charges, otherwise perform a Full Reload as an action to restore all of the magazine's charges. CQC - +6 bonus to hit if between 30 and 10 feet of the target, no disadvantage if target is in melee range.

Atmospheric Dispersal - The weapon loses 1 damage dice at ranges greater than its effective range.

Incendiary - Targets struck with this weapon's attacks must make a Constitution saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + Intelligence Modifier or take 1d4 Fire damage at the start of each of their turns for 2 of their turns. Will ignite any flammable objects as well.

Laser Weaponry - Instantaneous attacks grant higher precision and accuracy, granting twice the Proficiency Bonus on attack rolls.

Rechargeable - Expended ammunition will recharge fully after finishing a Long Rest.

Manufactured by the Dragonborn-operated Zarya DBO, produced at their photonics factory, the Polyus is known as a fairly reliable sidearm that is capable of emitting powerful bursts of focused light. It uses a small, but powerful capacitor that can be recharged either via normal means or magical means. It is one of the few Dragonborn-developed laser weapons that can be recharged without needing new ammunition. Unsurprisingly, laser weapons are fantastic against creatures sensitive to light. Its original intent was to be used in special operations against the Verdoyant, but its development was stalled until the Cataclysm.
