When casting spells with this focus, the wielder adds +1 to their spell attack modifier and to their spell save DC. It can be worn on the hand, around the neck, around the wrists and arms, or anywhere else practical on the body, preventing the need for a free hand for material components of spells (this does not allieviate the somatic component requirement).   As long as uou remain attuned to it, you know the Absorb Elements spell, always have it prepared (this does not count towards limits on the number of spells you can prepare in a day), and it counts as a Sorcerer, Warlock, or Wizard spell for you (your choice). Additionally, when you cast the spell you may forgo the damage bonus to your next melee attack and instead gain a spell slot of a level equal to the amount of damage resisted by the spell divided by 10 and rounded up. This spell slot is lost if not used before your next long rest. It may only be used to cast one of two spells: chromatic orb (dealing the same type of damage as what was resisted), or specific spell that depends on the type of damage resisted and the spell's level.   Currently known:

A gold chain with hooks that allow it to take the shape of a single length of chain (necklace), multiple shorter lengths of chain (bracelets, anklets, earings), or an interlocking net (to be placed between the fingers of one hand). Adorning the delicate chain are five gemstones: a sapphire, diamond, emerald, ruby, and amythest, positioned such that they are equidistant if the chain is worn as a single length and so that each adorns a different knuckle if worn over the hand.

When absorb elements is cast using the net, the gemstone corresponding to the energy type begins to glow and shimmer faintly. The light inside each gemstone behaves differently: it flares up and down in the ruby almost like a fire, it floats slowly and peacefully in the diamond like snowflakes, it flows and bubbles like acid in the emerald, it arcs around and bounces off the side of the sapphire similar to lightning bolts, and it expands and contracts in regular rythm inside the amythest.
