Divine Strike: The trowel can be used as a melee weapon, dealing 1d6 radiant damage plus the paladin's Strength or Dexterity modifier (whichever is higher).   Earth's Ally: Once per use as a ritual, the trowel can be used to summon a medium earth elemental. The elemental remains for up to 1 hour or until it is dismissed or reduced to 0 hit points. This ritual takes 4 hours and must be performed during sunrise or sunset, the times when Chauntea’s blessing is strongest.

Allies gain a +2 bonus to AC and saving throws while within this area. This effect lasts for 1 hour or until the trowel is removed from the ground. This ability can be used once per long rest.   Greater Earth's Ally: Once per use, the trowel can be used to summon a greater earth elemental. The elemental remains for up to 1 hour or until it is dismissed or reduced to 0 hit points. To recharge this ability, the user must gather various natural components (such as rich soil, fresh water, and vibrant plants) and create an offering around the trowel. This ritual takes 4 hours and must be performed during sunrise or sunset, the times when Chauntea’s blessing is strongest.

Exalted State

In its exalted form, the ruby continously glows and the gold heads of wheat radiate powerful divine energy, reflecting Chauntea's blessings. The trowel provides bright light up to 30 feet, and can be fully dimmed with a bonus action.   +3 to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon, counts as a dagger.   Holy Digging: The blessed soil not only enhances growth and grants resistance to diseases and pests, but also provides minor magical properties to the plants grown in it.   Divine Strike: The damage increases to 1d10 radiant damage, and it increases to 3d10 if the target is undead or a fiend.   Purification: The trowel can now cast Purify Food and Drink three times per day.   Sanctuary of the Garden: Allies within the sanctified ground gain a +3 bonus to AC and saving throws. Additionally, the area provides minor healing, restoring 1d4 hit points per round to allies within it. This effect lasts for 1 hour or until the trowel is removed from the ground. This ability can be used once per long rest.   Earthbond: The trowel allows the paladin to cast Meld into Stone twice per long rest.   Nature's Barrier: The trowel allows the paladin to cast Wall of Thorns twice per long rest.   Elder Earth's Ally: Once per use, the trowel can be used to summon an elder earth elemental colossus. The colossus remains for up to 1 hour or until it is dismissed or reduced to 0 hit points. To recharge this ability, the user must gather various natural components (such as rich soil, fresh water, and vibrant plants) and create an offering around the trowel. This ritual takes 4 hours and must be performed during sunrise or sunset, the times when Chauntea’s blessing is strongest.

This trowel is exquisitely crafted with a handle made from polished oak, a large ruby inlaid in gold at the heel of the trowel's blade, and golden stalks of wheat run up from the tip flanking the ruby on each side.

Occasionally, the trowel emits a faint, calming melody that soothes nearby creatures and promotes growth and harmony.
