Magic Weapon: Helskar is a magic weapon that grants a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it. Soul Reaper: When you hit a creature with Helskar and reduce it to 0 hit points, you can choose to capture its soul. The soul is stored within the scythe and remains there until released by the wielder. The scythe can store up to 5 souls at a time. Death's Touch: Once per long rest, you can use an action to release one of the stored souls to gain temporary hit points equal to twice your level. Additionally, for 1 minute, you gain advantage on attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks. Spells: While attuned to Helskar, you can cast the following spells using the scythe. Once you cast a spell, you cannot cast that spell again until you finish a long rest: Speak with Dead (3 charges) Animate Dead (3 charges) Revivify (1 charge) Shadow Step: While holding Helskar, you can use a bonus action to teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You can use this ability three times per long rest. Harvest Souls: As an action, you can use Helskar to force a creature within 30 feet of you to make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 4d10 necrotic damage, and you regain hit points equal to half the necrotic damage dealt. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage, and you do not regain hit points. You can use this ability once per long rest. Aura of Dread: While attuned to Helskar, you emit an aura of dread. Any creature within 10 feet of you must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you for 1 minute. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. Once a creature succeeds on the saving throw or the effect ends for it, it is immune to this effect for 24 hours.Helskar is a menacing scythe with a jet-black blade that seems to absorb light. Its handle is adorned with runes and bone-like carvings, emanating an aura of dread.
