Finesse, Light
A single-hand shortsword passed on to Lee by his mentor, Adalbert Berthold. At 32in and weighing in just under 2 lbs, the double-edged side sword was designed with slashing and thrusting in mind. It is similar in design to its descendent the rapier, but slightly shorter and lighter.
Adalbert's side sword's hilt is ornately decorated; instead of a simple double-shell guard, a swirling orb-shaped case of metal cast to look like a small serpentine dragon protects the user's hand from slashes. The beast's wings branch to either side to form the quillons, while its tail arcs down from the ricasso to the pommel to form a knuckle guard. The ricasso is slightly blunted, allowing the user to put their free hand on the blade for extra leverage in some manuevers.
Lee's dagger was crafted to match this blade's style.
