Baku and the Bad Shatter
The popular children's song known as "The Baku and the Bad Shatter" recalls the terrifying events of the Horn 3 event coloquially known as the "Bad Shatter". On that day, the Kirinal Pit manifested a literal nightmare portion of the Far Realm and an aberrant column of flesh, eyes, and tentacles erupted out of the Pit and into the sky. To save the minds and souls of the children of the Kirinal Concordance Zone, the previously anonymous baku spirited them all away to safety in the Ethereal Plane. The panicked parents found them sleeping safely in their beds the next morning.
I was an orcling here in the Zone when the Bad Shatter happened. My baku, Hypeleon, took me away in my sleep and I woke up the next day without knowing that anything had happened! My parents were so worried but so happy to have me back the next day! I've never eaten so much ice cream as I did that day!
The Baku and the Bad Shatter
(Verse 1)
In the Zone one frightful morning,
Surveyor sounds Three Horns warning.
Children vanished without a trace,
Parents feared their lives were erased.
(Chorus)
But fear not, the baku took flight,
Glowing with ethereal light.
Protectors of innocence, brave and true,
Keeping children safe out of evil's view.
(Verse 2)
The nightmare realm burst from the Pit,
Defenders stood, refused to quit.
Into the sky climbed ghastly eyes,
Tentacles reaching to the sky.
(Chorus)
But fear not, the baku took flight,
Glowing with ethereal light.
Protectors of innocence, brave and true,
Keeping children safe out of evil's view.
(Bridge)
Nightmares roared, children's minds they sought,
But baku's hearts, made them see naught.
Their souls were pure, so strong their hides,
They kept them safe, by their sides.
(Verse 3)
As dawn approached, Bad Shatter waned,
Children's safety, bakus attained.
The kids returned, with dreams anew,
Tale of courage, forever grew.
(Chorus)
But fear not, the baku took flight,
Glowing with ethereal light.
Protectors of innocence, brave and true,
Keeping children safe out of evil's view.
(Outro)
So in the Zone, the story's told,
Of baku bravery, strong and bold.
When nightmares threaten, they'll be there,
To keep kids safe and free from care.
This is so lovely. I love the song <3
