Battle Mages get their magic from the goddess Athena. Battle Mages are fierce warriors who use their magical abilities to enhance their own strength and dexterity in battle to react and strike stronger and faster. They are also able to perceive weaknesses in their opponents defenses.

Breastplate
spellcasting:
Strength is your spellcasting ability for your battle mage spells, since their power derives from your training. You use your Strength whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Strength modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a battle mage spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.
Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier
Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier

Sense of Weakness
As a bonus action you can open your mind to perceive your opponents weaknesses and give yourself advantage for your next attack. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Second Wind
Once per long rest you can use a bonus action to regain an amount of Hit Point equal to twice your Battle Mage Level
Fighting Style
As a battle mage you do not like to stand back in battle but are at the front line. During your training and adventures you picked up Fighting Styles. At second level you can chose a fighting style for the first time:
Defense
While you are wearing armor, you gain a +1 bonus to AC.
Dueling
When you are wielding a melee weapon in one hand and no other weapons, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls with that weapon.
Great Weapon Fighting
When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll. The weapon must have the two-handed or versatile property for you to gain this benefit.
Protection
When a creature you can see attacks a target other than you that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. You must be wielding a shield.
Battle Manoeuvre
You have experience in combat and can chose two battle manoeuvres at first level that you know and have trained in. Chose from the battle manoeuvre table from the battle master.
