Medium Construct, Artificer, Lawful Evil
Creation of Goddess of Technology, Ming Rinai. Exists as an example for the chosen people of the goddess, something to aspire to be. Ji Lushi travels about the worlds and realms and gives advice and help on his peoples. He works with Su Jiu'er to make weapons from evil souls.
Innate Spellcasting: Ju Lushi's spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 26). He can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
Legendary Resistance (3/Day): If Ju Lushi fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead. Magic Resistance: Ju Lushi has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. Magic Weapon: Ju Lushi's unarmed strikes are treated as a magic weapon. Infuse Item: Ju Lushi can touch a nonmagical object and imbue it with one artificer infusion, turning it into a magic item. An infusion works on only certain kinds of objects, as specified in the infusion's description. If the item requires attunement, he can attune himself to it the instant he infuses the item. For others, they must do so using the normal process for attunement (see the attunement rules in the Dungeon Master's Guide). The infusion remains in an item indefinitely, but when he dies, the infusion vanishes after 1,000 years. He can infuse more than one nonmagical object; the maximum number of objects is 12. He must touch each of the objects, and each of the infusions can be in only one object at a time. Moreover, no object can bear more than one infusion at a time. If he tries to exceed the maximum number of infusions, the oldest infusion ends, and then the new infusion applies. If an infusion ends on an item that contains other things, like a bag of holding, its contents harmlessly appear in and around its space. The Right Tool for the Job: Ju Lushi can magically create one set of artisan's tools in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of him. This creation appears instantaneously. Though the product of magic, the tools are nonmagical, and they vanish when his work is complete. Masterwork: Ju Lushi is considered to have proficiency with all artisan tools and vehicles. His proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check he makes that uses his proficiency with a tool, and the time it takes him to make an item is quartered. Magical Telephony: Ju Lushi can communicate telepathically with anyone carrying an item bearing one of his artificer infusions, as the mind transmits his thoughts to each other. That person can also communicate telepathically with him as long as they have the item. This two-way communication can even cross planar boundaries. Spell Storing Item: Ju Lushi can touch one simple or martial weapon or one item that can be used as a spellcasting focus, and store a spell in it, choosing any spell from the artificer spell list. While holding the object, a creature can take an action to produce the spell's effect from it, using his spellcasting ability modifier. If the spell requires concentration, the creature must concentrate. The spell stays in the object indefinitely unless Ju Lushi is killed. Lightning Absorption: Whenever Ju Lushi is subjected to lightning damage, he takes no damage and instead regains a number of hit points equal to the lightning damage dealt.
Unarmed Strike: Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 bludgeoning damage. Iron Hand: Ranged Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, 300 ft. range, one target. Hit: 42 (4d20+6) piercing damage and 11 (2d10+11) lightning damage. Teleportation: While any of his magic items are on another person, Ju Lushi can convert to pure spirit, teleporting him to the unoccupied space nearest to an item bearing one of his artificer infusions.
Flash of Genius: When Ju Lushi makes an ability check or a saving throw, he can use his reaction to add his Intelligence modifier to the roll. Soul of Artifice: If Ju Lushi reduced to 0 hit points but not killed out-right, he can use his reaction to end all of his artificer infusions, causing him to drop to 1 hit point instead of 0.
