Initial Charge-Up
At 2nd level, you gain the abilities to do basic electrical manipulation:
- You learn the Shocking Grasp cantrip.
- You can use an action to charge yourself with electrical energy. If you deal lightning damage within the next minute, you get to roll an additional damage die. This ability can be done a number of times equal to your intelligence modifier and all uses are recharged with a short or long rest.
Powered Movement
At 7th level, you can strengthen your agility by dealing lightning damage to yourself. As a bonus action, you deal 1D10 lightning damage to yourself and for the next minute, your base movement speed doubles. You also have advantage on all dexterity checks and saves for the duration. Powered Movement can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and all uses recharge with a long rest.
Lightning Rod
At 15th level, you gain the ability to become a lightning rod. As an action, you can cast Call Lightning in a special way. This special casting does not use up a spell slot, but it will require you to cast the spell and have the lightning center on yourself. All creatures within 5ft of you, including yourself, must make the save. The storm cloud does not linger around after this special casting. Using this ability also grants you the Powered Movement buff. This ability can be used once per short or long rest.
Aspect of Lightning
At 18th level, your powers of lightning manipulation peaks. As a bonus action, you can deal 3D8 lightning damage to yourself to supercharge yourself. You gain the following features:
- You are healed by lightning damage. You regain HP equal to the amount of damage you would've taken.
- You can cast Lightning Bolt at 3rd level as if it were a cantrip.
- Your movement speed is now 100ft.
- Your body glows a bright light in a 30ft radius and dim light in another 30ft.
This buff lasts 10 minutes but can be deactivated with a bonus action. This ability can be done once per long rest.
