Medium Human, Bard 2, Neutral
Mikolas - his friends call him Miko, and everyone is his friend - styles himself as a charismatic troubadour with a heart of gold. The truth is that he is a drifting entertainer on the low end of middling talent. His smile is genuine, but lecherous. His music is passing, but not exactly good. His figure is slim, but only because he cannot afford enough food and drink to be otherwise. He wears a stylish hat, ostensibly to be placed out for tips, but it also covers the fact that his hair is thinning and a bald spot is starting to form. In moments of self-reflection, Mikolas knows that he's never going to draw huge crowds or entertain kings. He understands that he is relegated to playing well-known tunes on his fiddle in roadside inns for light tips and tepid applause. Which is why he often spends at least a bit of his nightly earnings on alcohol. Keeping a little bit of a buzz going keeps him from thinking too deeply about his lot in life and helps him to put on the false face of a happy, go-lucky entertainer there just to make everyone else happy. And he knows that if he doesn't put that face on, tips for the night will be a lot lower than otherwise.
Beauty. When I perform, I make the world better than it was.
I desperately hope for fame and admiration. I will do almost anything to get it.
I'm a sucker for a pretty face.
