Description

As the only offspring of Drake the Black Dragon, Neela (íl 'bóbhabei, la chlai úméc; Little Dragon, the Black Princess as she is called by the Ope) is in a position of both great potential and great danger. She has gained a sharp mind that lends itself to subterfuge from her father. 

Ideals

Independence: People should have the freedom to choose their own path and to reap the consequences, good or bad, of their choices.

Bonds

As the heir to a stolen throne she has a responsibility to her people, as an outcast and an undercover fugitive, her primary goal is survival.

Flaws

With few exceptions, people are inherently selfish and cruel. I can respond in kind and still sleep at night.


  • Sneak Attack. Once per turn, Neela can deal an extra 8d6 damage to one creature hit with an attack of a finesse or ranged weapon.
  • Cunning Action. Neela can take a bonus action on each of her turns to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.
  • Assassinate. Neela has advantage on attack rolls against a creature that has not made a turn in combat yet. Any hit against a surprised creature is a critical hit. 
  • Infiltration Expertise. When disguised other creatures believe Neela to be the person she claims to be unless given an obvious reason not to.
  • Evasion. When she is subjected to an effect that allows her to make a DEX saving throw to take only half damage, Neela instead takes no damage on a success and only half damage on a fail.
  • Blindsense. Neela is aware of the location of any creature, hidden or invisible, within 10ft as long as she can hear.
  • Mask of the Wild. Neela can hide even when only lightly obscured.

Actions

Multiattack. Neela makes two melee attacks.   Shortsword. Melee Weapon Attack: d20+4 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit: 5 d6+2 piercing damage.   Hand Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: d20+4 , range 30/120ft., one target. Hit: 5 d6+2 piercing damage.

Reactions

When an attacker Neela can see hits her with an attack, she can use her reaction to halve the attack's damage against her.
