Description:
You are a Kitsune, a fox spirit possessing a vessel, trying to grow your own power. While you retain your vessel's form, their features are slightly altered, their face is given a more refined and 'fox' like look, their hair becomes softer, and at times of stress their irises become fox-like. There is usually a tell or a sign that reveals your true appearance, such as your tail(s) being shown in a mirror or your shadow being a fox, work with your DM to determine how others might be able to perceive your true form.
Age:
Kitsune typically mature as Foxes do, but they can live for hundreds of years, a few tales have claimed ancient ones last over a thousand.
Alignment:
Kitsune are often tricksters, disguising themselves as other beings: women; priests; sailors; even normal foxes (crafty little devils). The species is usually chaotic, while they typically honor agreements they make, they often break them if their true form is discerned.
Discerning Eye:
Experience in tricking others and discerning personalities & lies of others has granted you an eye that can see Illusions and lies easier. Whenever you make an investigation check for an illusion or a disguise, or make an insight check, you have advantage on the roll so long as you are not blind.
Trickery:
Use of Illusion magic and tendency of many Kitsune being tricksters, you have proficiency in Deception.
Kitsune Magic:
You have natural tendencies for tricking people, the magic runs through your tails. As such, you know the Minor Illusion cantrip. When you reach 3rd level you can cast Disguise Self once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. When you reach 5th level you can cast Nystul's Magic Aura once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Tailed Beast:
As Kitsune age and gain power, they grow more tails, one can tell the age or power of a Kitsune by the number of tails they have. One being a young and weak Kitsune, and nine being an ancient and powerful Kitsune

At levels 3-4, you have two tails
At level 5, you have three tails
At levels 6-8, you have four tails
At levels 9-10, you have five tails
At level 11, you have six tails
At levels 12-15, you have seven tails
At levels 16-19, you have eight tails
At level 20, you have nine tails.
Languages. Sylvan, you can communicate with foxes
