Regal and intimidating. The breadth of a Kroran's unknowable ambition often spreads further than their dark, leathery wings. Krorans appear as bat-like humanoids with wings connecting from their wrists to to their ankles, ranging in color from earthen brown to jet-black.
Not much is known about Kroran society to outsiders other than their highly profitable trade in phrax, the substance around which all travel and commerce on Valmoran is based.
Krorans are not generally adventurers if they can help it, usually preferring the comfort of their home to the wild intrigue of the world at large, though many are known to travel as ambassadors and tradesmen throughout the realm.
Age. Thanks to the benefits of living near such vast deposits of the highly magical phrax for generations, the Kroran lifespan is slightly longer than most of the other chaosborn races, living up to a century and half before finally passing. Kroran reach maturity upon their fifteenth year.
Alignment. Kroran, while typically depicted as a brooding and dark race due to their appearance, are not overly predisposed to evil or good. They are a largely neutral society and can range from lawful to chaotic.
Darkvision. As a nocturnal species, Kroran are gifted with exceptional darkvision up to 90ft.
Flight Action. As an action, a Kroran may flap their wings to lift off the ground and fly up to a height of 60 feet. This flight can only last for up to a minute and the Kroran must undergo a long rest before being able to fly again. When flying, Kroran are invulnerable to all melee attacks and have advantage on any attack they make. Upon taking any damage, the Kroran will glide back down to the ground and the flight action will end. This effect can also be activated when falling to negate any fall damage.
