While the naming ceremony marks a symbolic transition into adulthood, Avarians don’t reach full adulthood until about 20.   Alignment. Avarians, because of their will of expression, can range through varying alignments depending on the person.   Size. Avarians range between 4 and 6 feet and between 100-150 pounds. Due to their need to fly, Avarians are relatively light. Your size is medium.   Speed. An Avarian’s base walking speed is 30 feet.   Flight Speed. Avarians gain a flight speed of 30 feet so long as their wings are not injured.   Levitate. Using abilities similar to the ones used to create their original wings, all Avarians know a cantrip called Levitate. In this, they may cause an object or willing creature of their weight or less to levitate for a total amount of one minute so long as their concentration is not broken through the duration of that minute. Charisma is the casting ability for this cantrip.   Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Avarion. Additionally, you can speak with all form of foul.   Subraces. You may choose between three subraces: Celestial, Seraphim, Dominion

Celestial

Celestial Avarians are what most in Realms would think of if they were contemplating on the Avarians. This subrace is noted by it’s two feathery wings. They can range in span and color, but there are normally two. This is also the most common subrace of Avarians. Compared to other subraces, Celestials are more prone to magical feats. They spend time practicing and homing in on their expressive form. They will study and spar with one another, whatever will allow them to master their magic.   Ability Score Increase. Increase your Intelligence by 1.   Discreet Wings. Through their practice in magic, Celestials have learned how to disguise their wings. As a bonus action, a Celestial may cause their wings to take a more discreet form. This can either by pressing against the back to allow for clothing wear, or by disguising itself as a jacket or cloak. The style, preference, and appearance are based on the expression and preference of the caster.

Seraphim

The Seraphim Avarian are similar to the Celestial in just about every way except for their wings. Instead of a typical two, Seraphim have multiple wings. These additional wings can range from four to eight, but most Seraphim have six total wings. Typically this would be two large wings in the center with smaller wings on top and bottom. These additional wings also allow the Seraphim to fly should one be injured. Compared to their two winged counterparts, Seraphim can tend to be more warrior oriented, training for combative measures. Those in this subrace tend to be defenders and guards for L’avatia.   Ability Score Improvement. Your focus on your wings grants you increase to your Constitution.   Protective Wings.  As a bonus action, a Seraphim may choose to wrap their lower wings around themselves in order to provide additional protection. This will increase their AC by 2 for as long as they retain this form. However, damage dealt will deal direct injury to the wings and may inhibit its flying ability. Should a Seraphim choose to wrap their wings around another, this effect can extend to that person as well.

Dominion

The Darker kin to the Seraphim and Celestial, these Avarians have hidden themselves in expansive caverns. They spend their time in the dark and emerge during times of nighttime, making them more nocturnal than their other Avarian kin. While they have two wings like the Celestial, their wings have taken a more reptilian form. The Dominion are the Avarians most Edicians are scared of, even thinking of them to be evil, though this is rarely the case. Compared to their other counterparts, Dominion can be more charming and charismatic in nature, typically needing to rely on this skill to get anywhere with Edicians.   Ability Score Improvement. Increase your Charisma Score by 1.   Superior Darkvision. Thanks to its nocturnal nature and life in the caves, Dominion have gained a superior darkvision. You can see in dim light within 120 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of grey.   Sunlight Sensitivity. You have disadvantage on attack rolls and Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight when you, the target of your attack, or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight.

Languages. You can speak and write Edician as well as Avarian. Additionally, you can speak with all form of foul.
