A Mysterious Origin
The original creation of the Majeya is one of the many lost facts of history. These unknown magical vessels are inanimate objects that rested in a magic zone of unfocused, but highly concentrated raw magic. The object would gain sentience as a result and gain control of some of the magic to use as a body. The soul of the Majeya requires a body to inhabit, so it forces the magical energy raw magical energy it binds to to form itself into a humanoid construct of magical force, though this magical force is weaker than most other forms and can be physically damaged and broken. Unfortunately, that is all that is known about these fascinating creatures.
Magical Anomalies
The Majeya are very rare and researchers who wish to recreate the conditions required to allow a Majeya to be created have found that it is harder than it seems. The exact conditions are not very easy to replicate and there is very little room for error. As such, the Majeya are considered a rarity. The creatures don't often reproduce, so it can't, or won't, repopulate into the next generation. This means the population of Majeya will rarely increase unless a luckly break happens and many Majeya are created spontaneously all at once.
Majeya Names
Most Majeya name themselves. There is no known pattern, but many have names identical to each other, leading researchers to believe there is some logic to how they name themselves. No Majeya that has been asked has been able to answer the question of how they decided on their name, the best answer given was that they had a deep feeling that that name was who they were.

Ability Score Increase
Choose one of the following, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma, to increase by 2.
Age
The Majeya do not need to physically mature, but they mentally mature very quickly, reaching the maturity of an adult in three years. They usually live to 30 years when their magic body fades away.
Alignment
Majeya are weird messes of magic, so they tend to be chaotic without trying. As for good or evil, that depends on the exact type of magic that they were born and/or lived around. (Explained further in respective subclasses)
Size
Majeya tend to be 4 to 5 feet tall, and weigh around 100 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Magic Grappling Hook
You can change the shape of a free hand into the shape of a grappling hook and use it on your turn as an action. The grappling hook can support 20 pounds when pulling something towards you, but if attached to anything exceeding 20 pounds, will pull you towards it.
The hook stretches up-to 50 feet and requires a Dexterity check with a DC of 10, +2 for every 10 feet the hook travels, for a maximum DC of 20 at 50 feet. On a failure, the hook misses and the feature is used up.
The amount of times you can do this is equal to your spellcasting ability modifier, or constitution if you don't have one (minimum of once).
Spell Recovery
You can recover a spell slot on your turn as an action. To determine the level of the spell slot you recover, roll a percentile dice and consult the following table:
Spell slot recovered |
Dice roll |
1st-level |
81-100 |
2nd-level |
64-80 |
3rd-level |

The amount of times you can use this feature is equal to half your proficiency bonus rounded down. You regain all uses upon completing a long rest.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common.
Anti-Magic Field Vulnerability
You cannot exist within an anti-magic field. If an anti-magic field (such as the one created by the 8th level spell "Antimagic Field") overlaps any space you occupy, you temporarily cease to exist. You will return to the space you occupied, with no memory of disappearing, when the anti-magic field no longer overlaps the space you occupied. This does not apply in dead magic zones or other natural phenomena, nor in an anti-magic field created by a creature which has a challenge rating or level lower than your current level.
Subraces
Evil Majeya
Evil Majeya are created by and are influenced by a large concentration of evil-aligned magic. Depending on the source, an Evil Majeya may feel compelled to serve the source of the magic it formed from, such as if the magic comes from a very dominating will like a lich or vampire, in which case it usually takes on the alignment of the source. In other cases where the source of the magic is much less in control of it, such as magic left over from demonic invasions or around portals to evil-aligned outer plains, the Evil Majeya will almost always be the same alignment as the source of the latent magical energy that they came from, but will feel no loyalty to this source.

Life Leech

Good Majeya
Majeya that form from the leftover magical energies that build up around high Elven colleges of wizardry take on some of the characteristics of the Elves that their life force came from. As a result, these Majeya tend to be of a chaotic good alignment, and often experience greater wanderlust and curiosity than other Majeya. The Good Majeya are selfless, willing to sacrifice their lives for those they care about.

Mixed Majeya
Mixed Majeya are almost exactly 50% evil-aligned magic and 50% good-aligned magic, and the forces of good and evil battling inside them balance to overall neutrality. They are sometimes good and sometimes evil, and don't tend to stick to either side for the duration of their lives.

Choose either Dexterity or Constitution to increase by 2. Your Strength also decreases by 1.
Poison Resistance
You gain advantage on saving throws against being poisoned.
Last Struggle
When you fall to 0 hit points, you must make a constitution saving throw against a DC of 15. On a success, you hold on and can make a last-ditch effort on your next turn. On your next turn, you can run away from your pursuer and make a last attack before falling to unconsciousness. When your next turn ends, you fall back to 0 hit points and end up unconscious.
If you are hit again before your next turn, you must make another constitution saving throw against a DC of 18, to not fall below 0 health again before your turn.
You can do this once for every long rest.
Neutral Majeya
The neutral Majeya form from wild magic zones, and are neither inherently good nor bad. Because of the untethered and will-less nature of their origins, they are the most chaotic of all Majeya.

Orderly Majeya
Orderly Majeya are not composed on a single type of magic, but rather a lot of types of magic conflicting with one another. For no known reason, this causes the Majeya to be less chaotic and more lawful. Some theories exist, though none can be proven as this variant of Majeya is incredibly rare.

Otherwise, choose either Wisdom or Charisma to increase by 1.
Restraining Resistance
