Shifting Ink: The Ink Beast may cast Polymorph at will without materials, but a few restrictions apply:

The Ink Beast may only target itself with Polymorph.
It may only assume the form of a beast or elemental.
Any form chosen by the Ink Beast is inky-black, and it can be recognized as a shapeshifting Ink Beast with a DC 10 Intelligence check.

Inky Vitality: When the Ink Beast is submerged in ink, it heals 10 hit points per round. Permanence: The Ink Beast gets advantage on saving throws versus magic effects. Unmake: When attacking with an unarmed strike or melee weapon, the Ink Beast deals 1d6 acid damage in addition to the normal attack damage.
