The Essence Beast always knows the direct path to the closest creature touched by the gods.


Actions

Multiattack. The Essence Beast may attack twice with Bite, use one Bite and one Essence Siphon or one Noxious Cloud   Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 23 (5d6+6) Piercing damage. If the target is a Large or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 15). Until this grapple ends, the Essence Beast can only Bite the grappled target.   Essence Siphon. DC 15 5 ft sphere, range 120 ft., one target. hit: 5 (4d10) necrotic damage.   Noxious Cloud (Recharge 6). The Essence Beast spews forth a blinding, noxious gas that covers an area with a 20ft. radius sphere centred on the Beast. All creatures that begin or end their turn inside this cloud take 4d6 Necrotic damage and must pass a DC 15 Constitution Saving Throw or be blinded for 1 minute. Creatures with eye wear such as goggles do not have to make this Saving Throw  


 

when an Essence Hound groges itself on the energies of its victim enough to sate its ever present hunger it begins to change, its body undergoing rapid changes to accommodate its newfound energy. Orc settlements that manage to tame one of these beasts are greatly feared and have previously required direct suppression orders from the Origin Gods to halt their warpath.
