This spell's damage increases by 1*D6 when you reach 5th level (2*D6), 11th level (3*D6) and 17th level (4*D6).   Wizard of the Coast (2018): In the second sentence, “one creature” is now “one creature you can see,” and “two creatures” is now “two creatures you can see.”
