That target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a success, the spell fails. On a failure, you delve into your target’s deepest fears and create a clinging, choking horror which exists only in the target’s mind and drapes itself over the target like a garrote. The target is grappled by an unseen assailant. For the duration, at the start of each of your turns, a phantasmal strangler deals 2d6 psychic damage to the target. If the target is reduced to 0 hit points or knocked unconscious the spell ends. A creature grappled by a phantasmal strangler can use its action to escape. To do so, it must succeed on a Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check against your spell save DC. If the target escapes from the phantasmal strangler’s grasp, the spell ends.
