Lash of Force

9-level Evocation

Choose a point you can see within range. At that point, you bring into being an invisible, whip-like tendril of force. You can use your bonus action to command the lash to strike any creature you can see within 10 feet of it. That creature takes 5d6 force damage. The lash strikes incorporeal and ethereal creatures as well as those on the Material Plane. At any point during the duration, as an action, you can unleash the lash as a 30-foot line of force. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 15d6 force damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. In addition, creatures failing their saving throw are knocked prone. Using this power immediately ends the spell’s duration.
