Materials (a small glass hoop and a bit of cat fur)
You create a ring of crackling, painfully-bright
lightning which hovers around you. At the
beginning of your turn, choose one of the
following options:
Lightning Bolts: As an action, you can
cause the lightning ring to fire two lightning
bolts as if cast using a 3rd-level spell slot,
using your spell save DC. You choose the
directions the bolts fire.
Corona Ring: As an action, you can release
all of the spell's power at once. Each
creature within 60 feet of you must make a
Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes
6d6 lightning damage on a failed save, or
half as much damage on a successful one.
When you choose this option, the spell
ends.
In addition, while the spell is active you gain
resistance to lightning damage.
