The Woadborn are born from the souls of people who were close to nature in life such as the kindly farmer who gave back to the land, a ranger who looked after the land, a paladin or cleric of nature, or the druids in their grove. Their task is to defend the natural world from those who would do it harm and this mission has put them at odds with beings of all alignment. The Woadborn can normally be seen among nature dwelling and respecting people whether they are deep wood-dwelling Wood-elves or the respecting Human farmers, although the Woadborn seems to like Wood-elves they merely tolerate other elven races due to the Woadborn having a deep hatred for beings of Fay nature as they see them as no better than devils and other corrupting beings and so they are a threat to the natural world. When a Woadborn is slain their spirit flees their wooden body and retreats to the font of nature where they were reborn to regrow their body.
The Woadborn can reside in all natural environments but this can the season can affect the personality of the grove.
