race features:
Darkvision: You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Undead Nature: You are considered an undead creature instead of a humanoid. You do not need to eat, drink, or breathe.
Life Drain. As an action: you can make a melee attack with a spectral hand. This is a melee spell attack with a range of 5 feet, and you are proficient with it. On a hit, the target takes necrotic damage equal to 1d6 + your Constitution modifier, and you regain hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt. This feature can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Sunlight Sensitivity: You have disadvantage on attack rolls and on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight when you, the target of your attack, or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight.
Necrotic Resistance: You have resistance to necrotic damage.
Subraces
Wights come from various origins, and this affects their abilities. Choose one of the following subraces: Revenant Wight or Shadow Wight.
Revenant Wight
Ability Score Increase: Your Strength score increases by 1.
Relentless Nature: When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
Shadow Wight
Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Shadow Stealth: While in dim light or darkness, you can take the Hide action as a bonus action.
Physical Appearance
Wights retain the general physical features of the bodies they once inhabited, but their undead state gives them a ghastly and eerie appearance. Their skin is often pallid or ashen, their eyes glowing with a sinister light. They may have remnants of their burial clothes or armor, adding to their macabre look.
Traits and Abilities
Wights possess a robust constitution due to their undead nature, making them resilient and hardy. They also exude a chilling charisma that can be both captivating and terrifying.
