The Traveler's Guide to Aellorah
5-level Necromancy
Ritual - does not require spell slot, takes 10 minutes longerThis rite allows you to permanently anchor one of your bound spirits to an object or area. Anchoring a spirit removes the spirit from its Soulstone and binds it to the target object or area, taking your control away from it. Once bound to the object or area, the spirit will no longer obey your commands, but cannot take hostile action towards you. If the spirit is of a person, they can speak to the living if they choose when they manifest themselves. The spirit cannot go more than 60 ft. beyond the object it is bound to, or if it is bound to an area, it must stay within 120 ft. of the point the caster completed the ritual.
The spirit can manifest itself in a limited way on the Material plane, allowing it to produce small disturbances and sensory effects like those in the Rite of the Poltergeist, as well as moving small objects. If the spirit is bound to an area and a Cleric uses the Turn Undead ability within the spirit's area of effect, the spirit is banished and sent to the afterlife. If the spirit is bound to an object and the Dispel Magic spell is cast on it, the spirit is banished and sent to the afterlife.
This spell can only be cast as a ritual.
