Gai-Densk

"We march towards the armies of demons, steadfast and holding. Not one of us shake with fear, but with excitement. as they charge we wait, wait for the first volley of holy arrows to destroy the first line of Vargouille. The second kills many Dretches and Manes. Then as the Bulguras charge, we draw our swords and prepare, tense our muscles and explode, our blades tear through the air and stop an inch from the ground. After which, none could see anything but ash and flame, as the army became non existent in a single strike. Then came the roars over the hill, and so, we wait again" -The 34th battalion of the Circle of Daunting   Gai-Densk in the old tongue, means soul wielder. These warriors are able to harness their very soul and twist it to their design. The Gai-Densk are an old and legendary group of demon hunters that have saved many kingdoms as well as the world once. The Gai-Densk use a secret technique/ritual to harness their soul and impart it onto their weapons, as well as mold their own abilities like clay. Even though the power they once held has since been taken by the gods, their power is still to be feared or respected.   The Gai-Den hold five tenants that must never be broken.
  1. Always give respect to those you must kill, for regardless of hatred towards them, their death must never be joyous to you.
  2. Never kill innocence.
  3. Never kill another brother or you shall be judged.
  4. Kill all demons.
  5. Protect the Halim

spellcasting:

Spellcasting.

By 2nd level, you have learned to draw on magic through your soul via meditation and the Gai-Densk ritual to cast spells as many spellcasters do. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the Warlock spell list.

Preparing and Casting Spells.

The Gai-Densk table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells. To cast one of your spells of 1st level or higher, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.   You prepare the list of Gai-Densk spells that are available for you to cast, choosing from the Warlock spell list. When you do so, choose a number of spells equal to your Constitution modifier + half your Gai-Densk level, rounded down (minimum of one spell). The spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots.   For example, if you are a 5th-level Gai-Densk, you have four 1st-level and two 2nd-level spell slots. With a Constitution of 14, your list of prepared spells can include four spells of 1st or 2nd level, in any combination. If you prepare the 1st-level spell cure wounds, you can cast it using a 1st-level or a 2nd-level slot. Casting the spell doesn’t remove it from your list of prepared spells.   You can change your list of prepared spells when you finish a long rest. Preparing a new list of Gai-Densk spells requires time spent in meditation: at least 1 minute per spell level for each spell on your list.

Spellcasting Ability.

Constitution is your spellcasting ability for your Gai-Densk spells, since their power derives from the soul itself. You use your Constitution whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Constitution modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a Gai-Densk spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.   Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier     Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier   Spellcasting Focus You can use a holy symbol, or arcane focus (see the Adventuring Gear section) as a spellcasting focus for your Gai-Densk spells.
class features:

Gai-Skeni(soul forming).

The first of many steps to become a Gai-Den. At the start of the 1st level, your Soul takes on the desire of what you wish. You can choose a number of features from any class feature your level, down to half your level (rounded up), based on the table shown in the overview section.

Ability Score Improvement.

When you reach 4th level, and again at, 8th, 12th, 16th, and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can’t increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.   Using the optional feats rule, you can forgo taking this feature to take a feat of your choice instead.

Shell Broken.

At the start of the 5th level, you choose a weapon during a long rest, your weapon becomes magical if it isn't already, and now has a bonus to its attack and damage bonus based on half of your proficiency bonus, if the weapon's already magical, then its only the damage bonus.

Further Past the Soul.

At 10th level you may choose one attribute you can disregard one of its restrictions on it, for example sneak attack no longer requires another ally next to it. in addition, you may choose after a level up (which includes this level up) to undergo intense meditation to possibly change one or more of your chosen features. After a level up, roll a d100, on a 85 or more, you can change a number of features equal to half your Constitution modifier (rounded down). However, if you roll 50 or lower, you take 1d6-1 exhaustion points (minimum of 1).

Soul Remembrance.

At 11th level you gain more knowledge through molding your soul to obtain it, you gain two more skills, or tools to be proficient in.

State of Zen.

At the start of the 15th level, you can use an action to replace a number of points from other stats equal to your Con score so long as it doesn't drop a stat to 4. The number of points spent can then be divvied up, and transferred to other stats you wish that has a number except hit point dice or damage dice.   This lasts for a number of rounds equal to half the number of points you spent, after it ends, you will endure the most painful experience you'll ever have due to pushing your soul too much. At the end, you become paralyzed for the number of rounds you had State of Zen, you also suffer 1d4-1 (minimum of 1) levels of exhaustion.

Buishida(past potential).

You are able to go past the boundaries of limitations for a split second. Starting at 18th you can take 5d10 damage which can't be reduced in anyway to crit on a hit of your weapon, you can do this half your proficiency bonus per short rest.

Tensa-Gai(True soul).

You push beyond the boundaries of your potential. At 20th level, you are able to choose two abilities of two 10 levels or lower, or one of 20th level, and have one ability you have gained forgo restrictions.
