race features:
Size. Spudborn average around three and a half feet tall
and weight around 45 pounds.
Darkvision. Born from beneath the earth itself, you are
blessed with superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You
can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright
light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern
color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Everwatchful Eyes. You have proficiency in the Perception
skill.
Regrowth. As an action you can expend one hit die to heal
yourself. Roll the die, add your Constitution modifier, and
regain a number of hit points equal to the total (minimum of
1). You must complete a short or long rest before you can use
this trait again.
Additionally, you can regrow lost limbs within the space of a
week.
Spudborn Resilience. You have advantage on saving
throws against poison, and you have resistance against poison
damage.
Subraces.
The two main kinds of spudborn are tuber and
fingerling. Choose one of these subraces.
Tuber
As a tuber, your heartiness is your defining strength. You are a
rugged and down to earth individual, who prides themself on
being able to protect that which they care about.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases
by 1.
Tuber Toughness. Your hit point maximum increases by 1,
and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.
Fingerling
As a fingerling, your wisdom helps to provide your friends and
family with the right path to reach success. You work well as
part of a group, and oftentimes have the satisfaction of
knowing that your advice is generally the best.
Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Crop Caster. You know the druidcraft cantrip. When you
reach 3rd level, you can cast the entangle spell once with this
trait, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long
rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the spike growth
spell once with this trait, and you regain the ability to do so
when you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting
ability for these spells.
