Helgi stared up at the colossal bow towering above him, eclipsing his surroundings and casting a shadow on the drydock. It belonged to the Rominger, a leviathan of a ship that dominated its surroundings. It was Helgi's life work, his masterpiece, a ship powerful enough to pierce the Northern Alliance's naval blockade of Goulday, it was going to spark a new age of trade and freedom for Goulday, by being able to reach out to other islands to defeat the Northern Alliance, once and for all.

Helgi reached the end of the walk way, and took a seat on a podium, next to representatives from the Litenok government. An official launched into a monologue, bragging about the technological wonder of Rominger and about the wonders they had achieved. The irony, that a bureaucrat that had done nothing but delay and hinder the construction of the vessel was now proudly gloating about it was not lost on Helgi. He didn't care enough, as he was overwhelmed with his own myriad of emotions. 

The smaller gates of the drydock were heaved open by a dozen workers on each side, letting the water gush in like a biblical flood from the heavens. When half of Rominger's hull was submerged, the crew moved into position, and opened the colossal twin gates in front of its stern. Helgi watched in wonder as the ship's pen was flooded, slowly hiding the underside of Rominger with shimmering waves. Helgi's pride reached a crescendo as the craft maneuvered delicately out of port, and into the glistening sunset
