Ring, magical
This exquisite ring is crafted from intricately braided metal strands, each strand interwoven with a delicate, almost organic precision. The metal has a dark, iridescent quality, catching the light and reflecting deep, earthy tones. At the center of the ring lies a large, polished gem of Infused Echolite, its surface smooth and mirror-like. The gem shifts colors subtly, reflecting the environment and the race it bonds with, giving it an otherworldly, living appearance. Upon first touch, the ring feels warm, almost alive, as if it’s waiting for the wearer to make their choice.
Illusionary Form. Upon attuning to the Ring of Kin's Guise, the wearer can choose one kin-race from the world of Farsae. The ring bonds to this race, allowing the wearer to assume the appearance of a typical member of that race. The appearance is fixed and can include minor details such as fur patterns, eye color, and other distinguishing features. The transformation is purely cosmetic and does not grant any of the race's abilities, traits, or senses.
Action: As an action, the wearer can activate the ring to take on the illusionary form of the chosen kin-race. This illusion lasts until the wearer dismisses it (no action required), removes the ring, or is rendered unconscious. The illusion is perfect, fooling visual and tactile senses, though it does not hold up to intense scrutiny (such as under a "True Seeing" spell).
Static Form: Once the form is chosen at the time of attunement, it cannot be changed unless the ring is unattuned and then attuned to a new wearer, at which point a new form may be selected.
