Special Maneuvers
Precision Shooting - hold the weapon with both hands to increase chance to hit, +6 to hit as an attack (must be held with both hands, no offhand)
Rapid Shooting - If matching weapons are dual-wielded, fire two bursts instead of one with a negative modifier of -8 to hit as an attack. If successful, roll burst damage twice. Once you have used this maneuver, you may use it again after the end of your next turn.
Trickshot - Designate a specific body part to hit as an attack and deal specific conditions to the target (must be held with both hands, no offhand), you may perform this maneuver once per short or long rest.
Torso: The target must make a Constitution Saving Throw against a DC13 or be dazed
Arms: You impose disadvantage on all attacks made by the target until the start of your next turn
Legs: You hamstring an opponent and reduce their movement by half until the start of your next turn
Additional Properties
CQC - +3 bonus to hit if between 30 and 10 feet of the target while not dual-wielded, no disadvantage if target is in melee range
High Powered - Each shot does an additional +1 Damage
Loading: Uses a bonus action to fast reload (involves dropping the magazine to pick up later), requires a full action to reload and not drop the magazine. If dual-wielded, both a bonus action and a full action must be taken to reload.
Jamming: On a critical failure, roll a 1D12, if it lands on a 3, the weapon is jammed and requires a bonus action (D&D5E) or an action point (PF2E) to clear the jam
Handling: 1-handed
Novak developed the Trident as a high precision sport shooting firearm in cooperation with Vittori Ballistics' designers. The result was a sidearm that hits quite a bit further than its direct competitors. It uses a proprietary 7.5x27mm centerfire cartridge designed specifically with automatic pistols in mind, but the Novak Trident was developed after the cartridge. The stipulations that they had when designing it were very specific, requiring that it can fire out to 100 yards, have a similar amount of perceived and felt recoil to a .45 cartridge pistol, and create cavitation in targets when it hits with comparable energy to other common rifle cartridges at roughly 100 yards. Its cartridge almost reaches the velocity of an intermediate cartridge. The cartridge and weapon were actually developed after the Cataclysm. The Trident is a collector's item but is frequently found in pairs.
