Legendary Requires Attunement

Umbral Channeling: While holding the staff, you gain the ability to channel the power of shadows to enhance your spells. Once per turn when you cast a spell that deals necrotic or psychic damage, you can roll a d4 and add the result to the damage dealt by the spell.   Shadow Shield: As a reaction when you are targeted by an attack or spell that deals radiant damage, you can use the staff to conjure a protective barrier of darkness. You gain resistance to radiant damage until the start of your next turn.   Abyssal Arcanum: Once per long rest, you can use the staff to cast one of the following spells without expending a spell slot: darkness, shadow blade, or phantasmal killer. You regain the ability to use this feature after completing a long rest.

The Staff of Umbral Dominion is a tall, ebony staff adorned with darkened metal accents that seem to absorb the light around them. Carved into its surface are intricate patterns of swirling shadows and arcane glyphs that writhe and shift like living things.
