Only grown in the most precarious places, these green onions thrive where they are allowed to overgrow and establish themselves well. On the steep sides of cliffs where they grow the pioneering nature of the plant, seeking out such harsh conditions, serves to improve the stability of the cliffside as well. The Cliffside Green Onions grow dense roots that reinforce the cliff wall.

These onions have a fresh scent and a strong kick to them. Usually too bitter to eat raw, but excellent in oil and over heat.
