Frilled Cockatrice Eggs are oblong and leathery. While in this state they are impossible to crack, the shell of the egg is too rough and malleable. You must break it the same way the baby Cockatrice would, by using a Cockatrice claw. The eggshell petrifies and cracks cleanly and easily when scratched with a Cockatrice claw.

The yolk is greener than you would expect. The taste is rich and savory.
