Purse of Holding

Wondrous Item

Uncommon

This purse has an interior space considerably larger than its outside dimensions, roughly 1 foot in length at the mouth and 1/4 of a foot deep. The purse can hold up to 30 pounds, not exceeding a volume of 4 cubic feet. The purse weighs 1 pound, regardless of its contents. Retrieving an item from the purse requires an action.   If the purse is overloaded, pierced, or torn, it ruptures and is destroyed, and its contents are scattered in the Astral Plane. If the purse is turned inside out, its contents spill forth, unharmed, but the purse must be put right before it can be used again. Breathing creatures inside the purse can survive up to a number of seconds equal to 60 divided by the number of creatures (minimum of 6 seconds), after which time they begin to suffocate.   Placing a purse of holding inside an extradimensional space created by a handy haversack, portable hole, or similar item instantly destroys both items and opens a gate to the Astral Plane. The gate originates where the one item was placed inside the other. Any creature within 10 feet of the gate is sucked through it to a random location on the Astral Plane. The gate then closes. The gate is one-way only and can't be reopened.   The purse has a side pocket an inch in depth, any currency placed within this pocket disappears and is converted into its worth and added to any worth already in the pocket. As an action a creature can reach into the pocket and pull out any number of coins of any denomination as long as the worth of the removed coins does not exceed the worth held within the bag, the removed coins worth are then subtracted from total worth within.
