Purple Bloom

Poison

Common

Consumable, Ingested, Poison

Commonly called "wicked evening", purple bloom is a widely available toxin made from a plant similar to a bluebottle.

Ingested. This poison takes affect when ingested, either by applying it to food or drink, or by forcing it down a creatures mouth. A creature attempts a saving throw against the poison when it consumes the poison or food or drink treated with the poison.

Saving Throw. DC 12 Constitution

Onset. 10 minutes

Maximum Duration. 30 minutes

Stage 1. Dazzled* (10 minutes)

Stage 2. 1d6 poison damage and sickened* (10 minutes)

Stage 3. 1d6 poison damage, confused*, and sickened* (10 minutes)

*Dazzled: Your vision is blurred. You treat your surroundings and all terrain as lightly obscured.

*Confused: Your wits have fled. You treat no creature as an ally. You must spend your turn making an attack or casting an offensive cantrip against a randomly determined creature, moving within range if necessary. If you have no viable targets, you attack yourself, hitting automatically. If you are otherwise incapable of making an attack, you spend your turn babbling incoherently. Each time you take damage from a spell or attack, you can attempt a DC 11 flat check, ending the confusion on a success.

*Sickened: You take a -2 penalty to all checks and DCs. You can't willingly ingest anything, including potions. You can use your action retching in an attempt to recover, which lets you immediately attempt a Constitution Saving Throw (DC 13). On a success you are no longer sickened.
