An ancient crudely crafted dark red iron greatsword. No engravings or markings can be found on the hilt or crossguard. Only remnants of old red leather strap provide a grip.   A study of the sword you notice that despite the apparent great age, there is no rust. A smith could identify the blade is actually a variant of cold iron. Cold iron is a minor bane to fey creatures (+1D4 necrotic damage) and to a few demons, devil, and some outer planar creatures.   Identify spell sees a strange mysterious abjuration effect that resides deep in the blade, what would activate is unknown.
