Devouring Armour

Very Rare Requires Attunement

While wearing this armour, you gain a +2 bonus to AC. When you deal damage to a creature within 5ft of you with a melee attack, you deal an additional 1D4 Acid damage. When you are hit by a melee attack from a creature within 5ft of you, you can use a reaction to activate one of the following effects. When one of these properties is used, it can't be used again until the next dawn: Consume Weapon: If the attack was dealt with a handheld weapon, the attacker must make a DC 21 Strength saving throw. On a failure, their weapon is absorbed into the armour and if it is nonmagical, dissolved. A magical weapon remains within and can be released as a bonus action or when you are reduced to 0 hit points. Consume Attacker: If the attacking creature is Large or smaller, it must make a DC17 Strength saving throw or take 8D6 Acid damage and be consumed by the armour, appearing in a void of crushing slime and mucus. A creature consumed this way can’t breath, is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the armour and takes 2D6 Acid damage at the start of it’s turn. If the creature is still alive after 1 minute, it’s expelled from the armour and falls prone within 5ft of you. You can also expel any creature (or items) trapped in the armour as a bonus action and creatures are automatically expelled when you are reduced to 0 hit points. A creature that dies within the armour is dissolved, leaving behind any items they were carrying. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and is not consumed.  

This armour is formed of strange, brackish plates of distorted metal, and coated in a fine layer of clammy mucus.
