The Morgan Arms L63 Light Machine Gun was a design contracted out to one of the pre-war nations' armies and was adopted as a squad automatic weapon or SAW for short. It was widely regarded as the first 'modern' Light Machine Gun for its options to configure in a lot of different formats. Early versions had issues with climbing cyclic rates which would eventually cause mechanical issues, going from 650 RPM, up to an insane 1,100 RPM. The later versions had a cyclic rate limiter to improve reliability, which also subsequently improved controllability, tamping it at a more comfortable 800 RPM. The pattern seen post-cataclysm is largely a result of decades of refinement and retrofitting. This weapon uses an intermediate cartridge, shared with the A-15.
