Episode 10: Magister's Enclave Report
General Summary
The crew heads toward the Magister's Enclave after escaping Goblin Town and encounter a masked drow necromancer with a platoon of skeletons giving a tour of Kiris' pit defenses to a Pit Fiend, General the Baron Aginnad. The party was informed they could enter the enclave as long as they could cast magic (easy peasy) and the pit fiend mentioned to Nia that they both served the same dread lord. Lance touched hedrons with the fiend in case they wanted to ask him any questions.
The crew then got into the enclave, rested for a night, then went in the morning to have Spark's bondservant mark removed. Spark was freed, and Xeno promised to remember the day forever to tell the tale to Spark's future progeny.
As Spark danced down the street with new freedom, the crew ran into a warlock who told Nia to abandon the siblinghood and join the Mother Hen warlocks in the Coven of the Unborn or something to hatch the world egg, something something tentacles. The conversation ended with a blasting and the crew leaving no survivors.
When, they get back to the inn, they meet Tazi Asadi, the Unbeliever, a centuries old soulforged who uses divine magic, but worships no deity. He explained the gods are just souls like everything else, just older and bigger, but they withhold most of the good they could be doing for the world.
Tazi also gave a breakdown of the upcoming vote for the Hell Week accords and swing votes could be the elves, dwarves, or orcs to stop it if we wanted.
The Order of Light called to drop off more copies of The Beacon and went back to the inn rooms.
When Of the Hope the Way was let out of Xeno, he turned to Nia, opened his arms out wide and happily called out, "Jenny!"
