Speaker: "Good evening, councillors. This is our fifth meeting under the newest division plan, concerning... well, quite a bit, it would seem. Before we run the list, would all present say 'Aye!' for the record?"

Record: All members are listed 'Present.'

Speaker: "Good. Now, our first item of discussion is the flooding in Sector 6-0-4. At our previous meeting, we discussed the degredation of that area's piping, and how leaks like this were only going to be more common. Thankfully, the inhabited levels are just above the water level, so no evacuations are necessary this time around."

Record: A groan is audible from the opposite end of the table.

Councillor Seyro: "Well, it's better for the residents, I suppose."

Speaker: "Compassion for the poor? From you?! Are you feeling alright? Fever, maybe?"

Record: Chuckles are audible from most present.

Speaker: "Anyway. Now, the question stands: what to do with this area? Personally, I move that we shuffle some people around and turn it into a regional tourist trap. "Little Venezia", maybe."

Accius: "In that filth? Are you out of your mind?"

Praud: "You mean among that filth."

Record: Laughter is audible from Speaker, Praud, Ghezzi, and Magdalena.

Accius: "I'm serious! Remember, it's not just them we have to think about. I don't want to tell my kid she can't go swim with her friends because the water's too toxic!"

Ghezzi: "We could just cut the water off, prevent it from getting worse. Residents'll leave anyway, saving us on the cost of moving them. Seyro rehomes the ones that do leave, and I can sell bottled water to the ones that stay. Everybody's happy.

Speaker: "Good idea. All in favor of Councillor Ghezzi's proposal to cease public water supply to Sector 604, to prevent further flooding?"

Ayes: Ghezzi, Speaker, Praud, Accius, Seyro, Magdalena, Lafcadio.

Nays: None.

Speaker: "Well, that clearly passes. Now, onto the bridge collapse in Sector twelve..."
