You can cast the speak with animals spell once per long rest.
Darkvision:
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Since each Forestarian is an animal of some kind, there is a list for each variant and the positive stuff they do.
Rabbit Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Dexterity. Has keen hearing. For all sound related perception rolls, roll at advantage.
Amphibian Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Dexterity. Due to their amphibian nature they can breathe both air and water.
Fox Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Dexterity. Proficiency in Stealth.
Bird Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Dexterity. Has wings and are able to fly up to 40 ft.
Horse Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Strength. Proficiency in Athletics.
Wolf Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Strength. Has keen scent. For all scent related perception rolls, roll at advantage.
Mountain Lion/Bear/Boar Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Strength. You count as one size larger for the purpose of lifting and carrying objects.
Reptiles Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Wisdom. Due to their heat resistance, they have resistance to fire damage.
Raccoon/Red Panda/Possums Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Wisdom. They have a climbing speed same as their speed now.
Unicorn Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Wisdom. Once per long rest, can cast Cure Wounds using Wisdom Modifier to cast.
Goat Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Wisdom. You have advantage on saving throws against being knocked prone.
Rodent Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Intelligence. Proficiency in Sleight of Hand.
Deer/Moose/Elk Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Intelligence. Due to their cold resistance, they have resistance to cold damage.
Beavers Forestarian: --- Add 1 to Intelligence. Proficiency with Carpenter Tools.
