Shade Eyed: High Elves are capable of seeing in low light. They are capable of seeing up to 100 feet in dimly lit areas, and 50 feet in absolute nonmagical darkness. In dim areas, high elves perceive their surroundings as if in daylight; in dark areas, they perceive it as dim candlelight.   Ancient Ancestry: High Elves cannot be put to sleep by magical means. They have an advantage on saving throws against both deception and charm.   Reverie: High Elves do not sleep. Rather, they enter a state where they remain semi-aware of their surroundings. A reverie can last for six to eight hours, and an early rousing will often result in annoyance and irritability; during their reverie, a High Elf has the ability to communicate with their ancestors via images and feelings.
- Asynchrony in 'Aeratic Kinds'.
High Elves are an ancient race often considered to be the progenitor of all other elven races. Primarily found on the Sty'vanki Archipelago, they avoid interaction with shorter-lived races and instead watch from afar. Only interfering in history when it would inevitably cause great and terrible calamity, they behave more as protectors of the short-sighted than aloof watchers; they consider their role to be more parental than anything else, favoring the approach of helping rather than scolding.   High Elves are reclusive, but watch over the rest of Aeryia with a quiet eye. Their nation is built on the foundation of protecting their world, regardless of personal expense. The grandest example of this is that they chose to place their capital, Sty'vaniska, under the boughs of the Fateswillow. From the leaves of this divine tree they can watch over every story as it unfolds, with the Leafspinners warning the Queen should a great tragedy be approaching.   High Elves are split into two main subraces, Lunar and Solar. This is attributed to the suspicion of their divine ancestry, though the story of their origins is kept close to their nation's chest as a secret only for themselves to know.
