Burning Acid As an action this creature may fire jets of burning acid from special glands located in its neck. Any creature in a 30 ft cone must make a DC 12 Dex save, taking 4 ( 1d8 ) acid and 4 ( 1d8 ) fire damage on a fail. Half damage on a save.   Chameleon Skin As an action the Jesterka can change the colour of its skin to blend in to the environment around it, making it seem almost invisible. From any more than 10 ft away a DC 14 Perception check is needed to spot it when this ability is active. Any ranged attack against it is rolled at disadvantage.

Actions

Bite: Melee Weapon Attack +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 ( 1d10+3 ) piercing damage.   Tail Slam Melee Weapon Attack +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 ( 2d8+3 ) bludgeoning damage. A DC 14 Strength save is needed to avoid being knocked prone.

The Jesterka is a large lizard, growing to around 10 ft in length. The skin is often dark in colour, being either black or very dark green, blue or brown, with pale yellow or white stripes running the full length of its back on either side. It is often mistaken for a large lumbering hulk but that can be a costly mistake, it can in fact move very fast.   Being an ambush predator, the jesterka can alter the colour of its skin to match the environment around it. This it uses to great effect, pouncing on its prey before they have chance to react, biting down with powerful jaws.   When threatened it uses special glands, each filled with a volatile chemical, to mix an acid that can be sprayed in a 30 foot cone in front of the creature. Causing any unfortunate victims caught in this to be cooked and dissolved alive by the caustic liquid.   While the most common variant of the jesterka lives in jungle environments, there also exists a desert variety, named the 'sand jesterka'. The skin of this one is often yellow or pale brown with either white or brown stripes running down its back.

Suggested Environments

Jungle (or sandy desert for the sand jesterka).
