Salt Dwarf

You may roll for your character's height and weight on the Random Height and Weight table. The roll in the Height Modifier column adds a number (in inches) to the character's base height. To get a weight, multiply the number you rolled for height by the roll in the Weight Modifier column and add the result (in pounds) to the base weight.

Size. Dwarves stand between 3'6" and 4'8" tall and average about 130 pounds. Your size is a choice between Small or Medium, but your carry weight always counts as medium.   Speed. Your speed is not reduced by wearing heavy armor, and your swim speed isn't affected by wearing armor.   Darkvision. Accustomed to life under the stars, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Dwarven Focus. You can hold your breath for up to an hour, and have advantage on checks to maintain concentration.   Dwarven Boarding Training. You have proficiency with the battleaxe, scimitar, light hammer, and rapier.   Tool Proficiency. You gain proficiency in Vehicles(Sea) along with the artisan's tools of your choice: Smith's tools, brewer's supplies, or carpenter's tools.   Timbercunning. Whenever you make an Intelligence (History) check related to the origin of woodwork, you are considered proficient in the History skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus.   Dwarven Armor Training. You have proficiency with light and medium armor.
Where as most dwarves find their homes beneath dirt or beneath stone, these dwarves find their home on the open seas. Natural nomads, they've naturally adapted themselves for sea travel, being slightly shorter than other dwarves, with brighter beards, and a more nimble build for better working around the cramped spaces of a ship. Their skin is noticeably darker, laboring a ship underneath the bright sun(s) of Alkolon.
