Sweeping Attack The Executioner makes a Mantis Scythe attack against three different targets within range. Mantis Scythe d20+12 to attack; 3d12+7 slashing; 30 ft. range. The wide blade on one of its arms swings at a target. Dead Man's Net The Executioner fires a sturdy wire net from openings near the guillotine stocks at a creature within 30 ft. The target must make DC 20 STR or DEX saving throw (creature's choice). If the target fails the saving throw, they are restrained in the net and pulled into the guillotine stocks; as an action on their turn, they can make another STR Saving Throw to escape. At the start of the Executioner's next turn, the guillotine drops and the victim is decapitated and killed instantly. Additionally, if the Executioner takes at least 60 damage before its next turn or takes lightning damage, the restrained target is released. A creature with Thieves' Tools can assist the victim by mounting part of the guillotine and making a DC 18 Dexterity (Thieves' Tools) check to free them. Noxious Discharge The Executioner releases toxic gas from tanks around its base. Creatures within a 15 ft. radius - centered on itself - must make a CON Saving Throw (DC 16). Upon failing the saving throw, targets take 3d6 poison damage and are poisoned. Upon succeeding the saving throw, the creature takes half damage and suffer no other ill effects.
This hulking construct resembles a praying mantis with a sculpted humanoid face twisted in agony. Several moving gears are exposed and its rusty arm appendages end in scythes. A pair of tanks are attached to the abdomen and its chest cavity is partially made of glass, allowing one to peer inside; the large guillotine blade inside is painted with dried blood. The Executioner's head turns in jerky motions as it observes its newest prey.
